Schedule and attend an Interview

When you are ready to apply, the next step is an admissions interview with our Head of School.
This one-hour interview is an opportunity for our Head of School to explore your academic needs, interests, and goals to determine how Blyth-Templeton Academy can work for you. Parents/Guardians are required to attend the interview with the student. To schedule an interview, please call (202)847-0779 or email

Application and Payment

After your admissions interview, you can complete your application either through our online application system (click here to apply online), or by the following:

Application Form (School Year 2017/2018)

In addition to the application form, please request letters from your current English and Math teachers to be either emailed or mailed directly to the school. Please provide these forms to the appropriate teacher: Math Teacher Recommendation Form, English Teacher Recommendation Form. Teachers should send the form directly to Blyth-Templeton Academy either by email to or by mail to the school address. An official transcript from your current school must be provided directly to Blyth-Templeton Academy as well. Any additional material about the applicant may also be provided. No standardized entrance testing is required.

With all paper application forms, please include a check payable to Blyth-Templeton Academy for the application fee of $100. After application, you will receive an email confirming your application status.  Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis and upon receipt of all requested materials.

Blyth-Templeton Academy offers families a choice of payment plans. Fees may be paid according to the plan that meets your requirements. Please visit our Fees section to find out more.

Course Selection

Once admitted, the final step in the process occurs when students meet with the Head of School and Director of Student Support to complete course selection for the upcoming academic year or term. You can schedule this meeting any point after Registration and before your first day. Select your courses early to ensure that your choices are available.

Blyth-Templeton Academy can currently accept the children of Permanent Residents ("green card" holders), Asylees, Refugees, Diplomats (A visa holders), Employees of International Organizations (G visa holders), and the children of individuals who hold long-term lawful nonimmigrant status allowing them to work and/or study in the United States (E, F, H, I, L, O, P, TN visas) for enrollment. At this time, we are working towards securing the ability to sponsor students on an F-1 visa and we hope to be able to issue the appropriate documentation for individuals to apply for an F-1 visa to attend our school for the 2017/18 school year.
